PDA Welcomes Provincial Partners

July 15, 2026 Islamabad

Pakistan's digital transformation runs through its provinces as much as its federal institutions.

We were glad to host Mr. Ayaz Ahmed Uqaili, Member (IT Industry Development), Science & Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh, at the Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) Headquarters. He met with Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson, PDA; Dr. Sahibzada Ali Mahmud, Chief Digital Public Infrastructure Officer; Sophia Hasnain, Chief of Staff and other senior officials of the Authority.

The discussion centered on Pakistan's digital transformation agenda:

    • Strengthening Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
    • Deepening intergovernmental collaboration
    • Promoting innovation
    • Accelerating citizen-centric digital public services

Federal-provincial coordination was a focused point of discussion, along with how the two tiers of government can align to build an integrated, secure, and interoperable digital ecosystem for Pakistan.

National digital reform depends on partnership at every level of government. That is why PDA is pursuing a whole-of-government approach, working with provincial stakeholders, federal institutions, and industry partners to advance a digitally empowered Pakistan, built on innovation and inclusive digital governance.
