Digital transformation is a federal blueprint and a provincial reality. It is necessary for both federal and provincial governments to be in the room for the national digital agenda to be delivered.
Understanding the importance of provincial partnerships, PDA welcomed Dr. Akif Khan, T.I, PhD, PMP, CGEIT, CEH Managing Director of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), to its headquarters.
His meeting with Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson, PDA, focused on strengthening institutional collaboration between the two organizations and accelerating Pakistan's digital transformation through closer intergovernmental cooperation. Discussions covered Digital Public Infrastructure, digital identity, interoperability, digital government services, emerging technologies, innovation ecosystems and capacity building.
Provinces will build on the shared platforms, standards and rails PDA establishes. That division of labor only works when the two sides are in regular contact, and this meeting is part of that work.
Progress in Pakistan's digital transformation will be measured in the provinces. PDA looks forward to working closely with KPITB in advancing a secure, inclusive and interoperable digital ecosystem across the country.
