Collaboration at the Core: NA Standing Committee Chairman Syed Amin Ul Haque meets PDA Chairman to Discuss Digital Transformation Priorities

At the Headquarters of the Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA), Syed Amin Ul Haque, Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology & Telecommunication, met with Dr. Sohail Munir, Chairperson, PDA. PDA welcomed the esteemed legislators and informed them of its ambitious institutional initiatives to transform the country’s digital landscape.

Dr. Sohail briefed Syed Amin Ul Haque on what PDA has been building since its establishment under the Digital Nation Pakistan Act, 2025: a National Digital Masterplan, the digital public infrastructure for citizen services nationwide, and the national standards now being developed for data governance, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

PDA’s work connects across federal institutions, and continued collaboration will help translate plans into real results for citizens. Dr. Sohail and Syed Amin Ul Haque discussed shared priorities and agreed that working together is essential to improve public service delivery.

It is a model PDA has leaned into deliberately. Digital transformation cannot progress in silos; it cuts across sectors and ministries; therefore, no single institution can deliver it alone.
